It was immediate from day one that Cheryll was something special. She has proven that time and time again in her tenure with HSB. I've had the opportunity to work alongside Cheryll through numerous events and community programs. Each time Cheryll goes above and beyond in delivering an exceptional experience from start to finish. One example of this is the "Heroes of Hospice" event, HSB's annual (and largest) fundraiser. The event is typically held in September with planning beginning in early/mid-March. Every Spring, when the planning begins, Cheryll is prepared with an agenda and key points that the planning committee needs to hone in on. As the months carry on Cheryll takes on more roles that include, but are not limited to: communicating with donors, facilitating committee meetings, organizing the gathering of auction items, serving as a go between for special guests, honorees, and speakers. As a result of Cheryll's stewardship, the down time was less than five minutes and we were able to facilitate a successful conclusion to the event. An event that was as successful as it was due to Cheryll's steadfast leadership and commitment to the mission of Hospice of Santa Barbara. Cheryll is and will be an asset to any organization that utilizes her skills & abilities. She will see to it your event is expertly run, well executed, and done in a way that stays in full integrity with the heartbeat of the organization she represents. Selfishly I'll miss seeing Cheryll in the HSB community, but I am tremendously excited to see what she does next."
